The Duchess Listens . . .
This evening the Duchess enjoyed the company of a dear friend, and in so doing consumed riches in the form of fine wine and fine music. Here the Duchess memorialized the night's playlist:
"Going Places!" by Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass. Culminating in "Zorba the Greek" (a fantastic movie, if only for Zorba's quote that "Life is trouble."). Very, very tight.
"Little Creatures" by Talking Heads. "We're on the road to nowhere . . . ."
"Gorilla" by James Taylor. An all-time favorite on the vinyl.
"Songs for a Breakup, Vol. 1" by Fitz and the Tantrums. I credit the darling Paul Roughan for turning me on to dear Fitzy with his Motown/Hall & Oates-influenced heartbreakers.
"Oh You're So Silent Jens" by Jens Lekman. Strike from the boy from Goteborg.
