Amanda Cutter Brooks to be Women's Fashion Director at Barneys
Last Friday Barneys announced that Amanda Cutter Brooks would step into the role last filled by Julie Gilhart -- women's fashion director. She certainly has the pedigree. Previously the creative director and muse of fashion label Tuleh, Ms. Brooks once was described in W magazine as "blessed with socialite status, a wardrobe to die for and a whippet-thin physique ... a girl girls love to hate." She also worked as the creative director of Hogan, and most recently wrote a book called I Love Your Style: How to Define and Refine Your Personal Style. She is a contributor to Vogue, formerly to Men's Vogue, and to the New York Times.
The home she shares with husband Christopher Brooks in the Adirondacks recently was shot by Claiborne Swanson Frank for Vogue.com's APT with LSD.
