Ray's & Stark Bar at LACMA
Last night we stopped by LACMA to see the Vija Celmins exhibit, which was quite good. Hungry children demanded to be fed and so we had a bite at LACMA's Renzo Piano-designed Stark Bar at Ray's, the new Patina-owned, Kris Morningstar restaurant-and-bar overlooking Chris Burden's "Urban Light." We had the spicy meatballs, fior di latte flatbread, and some tame little potato chips lightly vinegared (the rest of the menu is a bit adventurous for your average preschool set). And the food was tasty (readers, they ate it), the wine even better, and the bar boasted a lively, pre-LACMA tour scene. The Duchess definitely will be back.
